Award-winning professor and author, Stephen M. Stahl, M.D, Ph.D., will provide strategic guidance on Done.’s patient-first clinical operations during its record growth

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Done., the industry-leading digital-health company that ensures high-quality psychiatric care is accessible and affordable for all, today announced the appointment of Stephen M. Stahl, M.D., Ph.D. Dr. Stahl is an expert clinician, researcher, and teacher who specializes in psychiatry and psychopharmacology, and will serve as an advisor to the company.

“I’m proud to be a part of an innovative and thoughtful organization like Done.,” said Dr. Stahl. “The stigma around ADHD and barriers to access proper treatment have prevented far too many patients from getting the care they deserve. I look forward to working with the Done. team to help bring accessible and affordable treatment to patients in need.”

Dr. Stahl, a board-certified psychiatrist and adjunct professor of psychiatry and neuroscience at University of California San Diego and Riverside, will provide guidance on Done.’s clinical operations, such as reviewing and improving the clinical standard of care and clinical policy and procedure. Dr. Stahl is one of the most well-known and established psychiatrists and psychopharmacologists in the country. He has edited 15 textbooks and written more than 50 others on psychiatry and psychopharmacology, including the best-selling textbook, Stahl’s Essential Psychopharmacology.

Founded in 2019, Done. started as a passion project to help friends, coworkers, and loved ones in need of mental-health care as they struggled to find support and navigate the complex healthcare system. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the company saw significant growth amid limitations to in-person care. That growth has continued as patients see the value of access to ADHD care without the stigma around treatment.

Dr. Stahl’s clinical expertise will further help the company provide its growing number of patients with the greatest standard of care.

“Done.’s mission is to empower everyone living with ADHD to reach their fullest potential,” said Done. founder and CEO Ruthia He. “With the trusted insight of industry-leading medical experts like Dr. Stahl, we can help our platform continue to provide the best patient-first healthcare experience and the highest quality of ADHD care for our patients.”

Dr. Stahl received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Northwestern University in Chicago where he was a member of the honors program in Medical Education. He received his Ph.D. degree in pharmacology and physiology from the University of Chicago. Dr. Stahl has held faculty positions at Stanford University, the University of California at Los Angeles, the Institute of Psychiatry London, the Institute of Neurology London, and, currently, at the University of California at San Diego and Riverside and as a fellow at the University of Cambridge.

During his career, Dr. Stahl’s research has been awarded by the National Institute of Mental Health, the Veterans Administration, and the pharmaceutical industry.

His appointment further strengthens Done.’s clinical expertise, which already boasts a medical leadership team with more than 30 years of experience. That team includes David Brody, M.D., previously a resident in psychiatry at Stanford University, and Zoe Martinez, M.D., Ph.D., previously a resident in psychiatry at UCLA.
